Job Description / Duties

Kidd Pivot Performance Society in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Sound & Show Control Technician to head the Sound Department for remount and tour of Revisor in Spring 2022. (February 28 start date)

The Sound & Show Control Technican is responsible for managing all audio & other technical aspects of this touring dance production. This includes sound and projection (surtitles), operation of consoles & assisting other departments during setup and strike in each venue.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Lead venue crews in installing a show specific speaker plot.
Strong knowledge of Q-Lab including time code functions.
Strong knowledge of a variety of digital audio consoles.
Knowledge of the GrandMA2 is an asset.
Touring experience is an asset.
CAD/Vectorworks skills are an asset in assisting the TD in venue planning.
Maintain all company Audio & MIDI gear.
Set and balance sound levels in each venue.
Assist the Lighting Director with some of the lighting install & focus.
Assist the Rehearsal Director with the rehearsal Q-Lab file.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Information

The successful applicant needs to be double vaccinated with a federal vaccine passport, and be in possession of a valid Passport for travel to Europe. (At least 1 year remaining on your current passport).
Remount rehearsal period: February 28-April 2, 2022 (Includes first show venue in Vancouver)
Tour period: April 9-June 12, 2022.
Travel and accommodation is covered by the Company.

Future international tours are already being planned for similar periods in 2023.

Salary: Approximately $1100/wk plus per diem while on tour
