Workplace violence and conflicts can happen anywhere and for those in the performing arts and motion picture industries, the risks can be high. From public interactions to high-pressure production environments, these sectors face unique challenges that demand proactive safety measures.
Recent data from WorkSafeBC shows a 25% increase in violence-related claims across all industries. Within arts and entertainment, 47 time-loss claims since 2015 have resulted in nearly 9,000 lost workdays and over $4 million in claim costs. It’s time to take action to protect workers, productions, and communities.
This webinar equips participants with practical tools and strategies to help prevent and respond to workplace violence. Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to identify early warning signs, apply de-escalation techniques, and foster safer work environments for everyone on stage, on set, and behind the scenes.
