Job Description / Duties

Temporary position (approximately 20 months)
Please note that there will be a temporary assignment in Spain

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be required to:
• Assist the Technical Director in his or her tasks;
• Work in close cooperation with the production and design team;
• Plan and organize the drafting team’s workload so as to optimize drafting production;
• Research materials and suppliers;
• Conduct research and development of a technical nature;
• Follow up on technical books;
• Participate in the development of team planning and scheduling;
• Circulate relevant technical information between teams;
• Manage certain project aspects as required;
• Produce technical lists, estimates and submissions;
• Remit data, documents, plans, estimates, technical sheets, supplier lists etc. to the production documentalist during and after the production period;
• Other duties as assigned by the Technical Director.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Six to eight years’ experience in show production, with some years' experience in a similar position;
• Good organizational and leadership skills; self-starter;
• Ability to direct technical teams, remote management experience an asset;
• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, knowledge of Spanish is an asset;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Ability to work well under pressure;
• Experience related to theatre construction;
• Knowledge of AutoCAD;
• Strong organizational skills;
