Amy Dass is an emerging theatre artist in her final year of UAlberta’s BFA in Drama, specializing in Theatre Design. She moved to Canada from India in 2016, fell in love with theatre, and has been involved in helping create the magic of theatre ever since. She is currently based and works in Amiskwaciwâskahikan, Treaty 6 Territory (Colonially known as Edmonton, Alberta), but hopes to work and design in theatres internationally. Alongside being a designer, she is also an experienced theatre technician, stage manager, and instructor at Spark! A summer camp for children, a makeup artist, and a plus-size model advocating for inclusivity in the fashion industry. Her most recent works include Troilus and Cressida (Production Design Assistant, Studio Theatre UAlberta, 2024), The Emergence of Self (Costume Designer, MZD Connections//Collisions Cabaret, 2024), Talk Treaty to Me (Lighting and Set Designer, Fringe, 2023), Hyenas Trail (Lighting and Sound Designer, Nextfest, 2023).
