 mation --\n\n-- Who is this course for? --\n\nThe AFCâ€™s Mental Health 
 First Aid Courses are intended for individuals working in the Canadian p
 erforming arts and entertainment industry.\n\n-- What is mental health f
 irst aid? --\n\nMental health first aid is the support provided to a per
 son who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a me
 ntal health crisis.\n\nMost people are familiar with CPR and know what t
 o do when they are faced with a cardiac emergency. However, would you kn
 ow what to do if you were faced with someone having a mental health emer
 gency? Now more than ever, it can be vital to understand the signs and s
 ymptoms of someone in a mental health crisis and know how to help.\n\n--
  Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training Course --\n\nThe course was dev
 eloped by Opening Minds/Mental Health Commission of Canada. During the c
 ourse, the participants will learn how to:\n\n* Recognize signs that a p
 erson may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a ment
 al health crisis.\n\n* Find and reach out to professional supports that 
 could help with recovery to improved mental well-being.\n\n* Assist in a
  mental health or substance use crisis.\n\n* Use MHFA actions to maintai
 n oneâ€™s own mental well-being.\n\n-- Course Details --\n\n* Instructio
 n Format: 2 hours of self-directed study, plus a full-day in-person clas
 sroom session.\n\n* Self-study Online Module 1: an access link will be s
 ent to course participants by email after their registration has been pr
 ocessed but not later than 2 weeks before the course start date.\n\n* In
 -Person Classroom Module 2 (3.5-4 hours) and Module 3Â (3.5 hours).\n\n-
 - Additional Information --\n\nThe self-guided online module must be com
 pleted beforehand (approximately 2 hours).Â You will not be able to part
 icipate in the in-person classroom training if you donâ€™t complete the
