 adership --\n\nMeans of Production (pmtd.ca) is a collective of Producti
 on Managers and Technical Directors working together to reexamine the wa
 y we build shows. Incubated by Generator, and funded by the Canada Counc
 il, from 2021-2022 we are researching and developing a values-based appr
 oach to production that prioritizes equitable, sustainable working condi
 tions and improved relationships between Producers, PMs and TDs.\n\nThis
  roundtable invites Production Managers, Technical Directors, Technician
 s, Suppliers and Arts Workers to discuss:\n\n**What is a values-based ap
 proach to production?\n\n**How can production and technical leadership c
 ontribute to the paradigm shift of building back better post-pandemic?\n
 \n**Which tools and practices can PMs and TDs develop to support under-r
 epresented arts workers and their productions?\n\n**Where can PMs and TD
 s affect change to improve working conditions for arts workers, within o
 r outside of an institutional framework?\n\n**When must the show not go 
 on?\n\nModerator: Autumn Coppaway, CITT/ICTS Director at large\n\nLevel
 : General (for all)\n\nDiscipline: Human Resources, Management, Product
 ion Management and Technical Direction, Career Development.\n\nSession's
  objectives:\n\n* Facilitate an open dialogue around working conditions 
 between various stakeholders within live performance production leadersh
 ip.\n\n* Foster discussion that will contribute to the research and deve
 lopment of tools that PMs and TDs can use to better advocate for themsel
 ves and the crews they lead.\n\n* Introduce ways to get involved with Me
 ans of Production, and our yearlong project to develop a values-based ap
 proach to production with the live arts and events community.\n\nPresent
 ers:\n\nSue Balint, Producer\nSue is a longstanding member of the Toront
 o arts community, having been active at various stages of her career as 
 a playwright, dramaturg, theatre maker and currently as a producer and f
 acilitator. Recent projects include: Festival Producer for Aluna Theatre
 ’s CAMINOS and RUTAS festivals, Progress (SummerWorks / The Theatre Ce
 ntre), and Weesageechak Begins to Dance (Native Earth), as well as colla
 borations with Modern Times Stage Company, Chocolate Woman Collective, S
 o Much Drama, and others. Sue was the 2018 recipient of The Leonard McHa
 rdy and John Harvey Award for Leadership in Administration, and is an Ad
 aptive Facilitator for the Metcalf Foundation’s Staging Change program
 .\n\nPip Bradford, Production Management, Live Art, Production Outreach\
 nPip Bradford is an arts worker based in Toronto, mostly working as a pr
 oduction manager and producer with dance companies and festivals. She so
 metimes makes events and spaces with Rebecca Vandevelde as part of Art I
 s Hard.\n\nCrystal Lee, Production Manager\nCrystal Lee began her indepe
 ndent career as a freelance Production Manager in Toronto where she rece
 ived a Harold Award for her contributions to the community. She currentl
 y works full-time with Why Not Theatre as their Production and Technical
  Manager.\n\nSally Roberts, Production Manager, Stagehand, Technician\nS
 ally Roberts lives and works in Toronto. She has been the head technicia
 n in the Baillie (Downstairs) Theatre at Berkeley for 3 years. In 2019, 
 Sally was the PM for The Black Drum, produced by the Canadian Cultural S
 ociety for the Deaf, supported by Soulpepper Theatre, and is passionate 
 about work with both Deaf and hearing artists.\n\nEm Aubin, Stage Manage
 r\nEm Aubin (they/she) is a stage manager for theatre and experimental p
 erformance based in Tkarón:to. Select credits include: Century Song, In
 finity (Volcano Theatre); Pass Over, School Girls; Or, The African Mean 
 Girls Play, hang (Obsidian Theatre); Art (Soulpepper); Lady Baby, Portra
 it (The Dietrich Group); The Men in White (Factory Theatre); Tributaries
