The course provides 14 ETCP Renewal Credits to certificated ETCP technicians.
Course Description:
Day 1: Safety requirements and general rigging principles.
Day 2: Emphasis on stage rigging equipment operations, inspection and maintenance.
Bil Sapsis will provide training in current entertainment rigging industry practices and equipment and the proper use, inspection and maintenance of that equipment. Topics include Fall Arrest, Fall Protection and Rescue. Q & A throughout the day.
Presenter: Bill Sapsis, President of Sapsis Rigging Inc., is a member of the Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) Council and Chair of the Rigging Subject Matter Experts. He serves on ESTA’s Technical Standards Committee and is the Chair of the TSP’s Rigging Working Group. Bill is ETCP Certified-Theatre and Arena and is an ETCP Recognized Trainer.
