But what about…? Getting Back to Work in the Middle of the Pandemic

with Professor Gene Moyle (Queensland University of Technology) and Matt Eldridge (Al & Malka Green Artists' Health Centre)

Many of us feel anxious and hesitant about returning to the stage, studio or set for work. When will it happen, and what will it look like? We have been dealing with false starts and uncertainty, and some of us have not worked in 18 months and feel rusty and out of practice. In this workshop, we will talk about self-care tools and strategies to manage your mental health as you work, rehearse or perform in the COVID-19 environment. Through an active discussion, this workshop will cover ways to adapt and prepare yourself mentally for the "new normal."

The workshop series is presented as part of the Professional Development & Mentorship Project (PDM Project) - a pilot program created in partnership between AFBS, The AFC, and Dancer Transition Resource Centre. We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
