CITT/ICTS Buyer's Guide is an online resource accessible via the CITT/ICTS web site that will help the technical members of the performing art community to search for microphone suppliers in Regina, or fly system manufacturers in Ontario, or costume rental houses in all of the country.

The Buyer's Guide includes both CITT/ICTS corporate members and non-members, however, CITT/ICTS corporate members will be given priority in the search results.

We hope that this will become an essential tool for everyone involved in live performance production in Canada.

Published by the Ontario Ministry of Labour, this 3rd edition of the Safety Guidelines for the Live Performance Industry in Ontario marks the first published updates of the Guidelines since 1997.

The purpose of the Guidelines is to recommend safeguards and realistic procedures to educate, advise and protect workers and management in the live performance industry. It was drafted by a cross section of technical and administrative representatives from the performing arts, government advisors, and experts in policies and procedures. It includes recommendations, definitions, and guidelines for topics such as: hand props and costumes, orchestra pits, pyrotechnics, performers flying, rigging systems and fall arrest, sound levels and stage combat. New sections of the Guidelines include: electrical; rakes; fog & smoke; and outdoor venues.

These Guidelines have been prepared by representatives of the live performance industry to assist employers/engagers, supervisors and working professionals in meeting the requirements under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and the relevant regulations made under the Act.

The Health and Safety Advisory Committee for Live Performance in Ontario is made up of professionals in live performance from across the province large and small, commercial and not-for-profit, arts service organizations and professional associations and unions.
