Job Description / Duties

Kelowna Actors Studio, situated in the vibrant city of Kelowna, British Columbia, is deeply committed to cultivating creativity and nurturing artistic excellence. We are in search of a dynamic and meticulously organized Production Manager to join our team. The Production Manager will assume a pivotal role in providing support for our annual productions, events, and programs. This position entails orchestrating logistical elements, ensuring seamless operations, and actively contributing to the overall triumph of Kelowna Actors Studio presentations and education initiatives working closely with the Artistic Managing Director and Executive Producer.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Artistic Team to organize and execute production elements across multiple productions.
- Work with departments to assist or lead in areas of construction, light, sound, and technical design.
- Possess a strong technical background to effectively contribute to projects.
- Provide expertise and support in managing technical aspects related to lighting, sound, and overall production design.
- Spearhead the coordination of logistical requisites, encompassing resource allocations, technical evaluations, studio assignments, and equipment provisions.
- Develop and disseminate crew schedules, rehearsal itineraries, and production timelines with precision.
- Facilitate strategic planning meetings with internal departments and external collaborators, fostering transparent communication and seamless coordination.
- Negotiate and finalize resource support agreements, including equipment, facilities, and personnel allocations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, participants, and production/technical personnel throughout all stages of productions.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of production contracts and agreements.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including meticulous records management, budget oversight, and expenditure management.
- Act as a liaison between various departments to ensure the flawless execution of programs.

Qualifications / Required Skills

- Possession of a Diploma/Degree in Performing Arts/Arts Production or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with scheduling software and adeptness in utilizing production management tools.
- Be familiar with Chamsys lighting boards and QLab software for seamless integration and operation.
- Exceptional organizational prowess coupled with acute attention to detail.
- Superlative communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to thrive both independently and under pressure.
- Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend commitments as necessitated by the role.
