CITT BC Section Student Day

March 28, 2015, 2:00 - 6:00 PM

Announcing Student Day 2015 Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m.

At the Playhouse Theatre, 601 Hamilton Street, Vancouver, BC

The British Columbia Section of the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology has now officially turned Night into Day – Student Night, that is, into Student Day.

For many years, the Section has hosted Student Night at a number of Lower Mainland venues – sharing countless networking opportunities with post-secondary students involved with various facets of entertainment technology – stagecraft, lighting, audio, construction, rigging, safety awareness, and the art and craft behind all great productions.

This year, in order to give the opportunity to even more students, BC CITT will hold the event on Saturday, March 28th in the daytime – 2:00PM to 6:00PM – so now it’s Student Day!

If you are one of the chosen who now studies Theatre Technology at a post-secondary school, or are learning “on the job” with a local or regional Theatre company or high school, this is your chance to meet new and old friends alike, check out all the new technology in the Trade Show, have a tour of the venue, and put a smiling face in front of potential employers.

If you are a current CITT member, this is a tremendous chance to once again network with your peers and share the opportunity to influence the up-and-coming Tech generation.

This year, in August, CITT’s National Conference, Rendez-vous 2015, is being hosted right here in Vancouver – if you are new to the idea of membership, we encourage you to take advantage of low student rates and become affiliated with the BC Section. This would be a great way to see a serious trade show, network with hundreds of fellow entertainment specialists, and engage in some meaningful professional development. And have a good time while doing it!

We look forward to seeing you on March 28th – admission is free, so please let us know that you’re coming!

RSVP to bc@citt.org and if you’re travelling from Vancouver Island or from the BC Interior, a small subsidy may be made available to help you get here for this very special day.
